Great blend
I like the mash-up between the old version and new version here. Nice work

Great blend
I like the mash-up between the old version and new version here. Nice work

Needs work
Short, linear, constant hordes providing artificial difficulty, and horrible latency during the finale. However, it at least has some lighting
This review was posted before the latest release.
Needed to be finished
Not-so-great map design compounded with a very long finale with way too many supplies. There's also no rescue.
Great scripting tools
Very good tool and allows you do almost anything inside L4D2.

Pros:
Great additions to the campaign - makes it less straight-forward Same valve-quality gameplay The new areas are well-polished
Cons:
Lots of dialogue from the original was lost Some areas feel less polished than others NAV is a bit off in new areas Nick floats above the ground in the intro
Conclusion:
A great re-design of Hard Rain. Not many issues, and none of them are game-breaking. Good work!

Pros:
'Choice' system Sacrifice ending Multiple varieties of maps
Cons:
Bad voice acting Ammo is spread too thin Bad map layout Horrendous brushwork Generally rushed Map length is inconsistent NAV is iffy Director spawns infected right in front of the player Saferooms are poorly equipped
Conclusion:
This is probably one of the worst campaign's I've ever played. Everything that's listed as a con is a result from a lack of polish. SpeedBoost, you really rushed this campaign and spent no time with it, and it shows. However, the map choice system is neat.
Pros:
Decent gameplay Some areas were well-done Not too long
Cons:
Bad NAV mesh throughout Lackluster finale Bland design in some areas
Conclusion:
Not too much to say about this campaign. The execution issues mar the campaign more than it should.
Pros:
Great environment detail Plenty of supplies Awesome idea - potential for a full campaign
Cons:
Bad lighting - map is too dark Map is small No room to maneuver during hordes
Conclusion:
A great map that has a few kinks, but will probably be sorted out in later patches. I would recommend a day version or creating a few lights in several areas to even out the dark areas.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great map designs Good spread of supplies Nice ambience Gameplay is mostly solid Finale is well balanced
Cons:
Some panic events can be bypassed Too many panic events and hordes Map layouts are confusing and cluttered Maps are somewhat short
Conclusion:
A solid campaign that is marred by a few issues, but other than that it's good. The two biggest offenders are too many panic events (an average of two per map) and the confusing map layouts, with little direction hints placed in the environment.
Pros:
Good map design and layout Great color correction Good spread of supplies Finale was good Decent survivor dialogue
Cons:
Lackluster ending Somewhat short
Conclusion:
The campaign is good, however the ending seems like you didn't know where to take your idea of a trainyard finale. I wouldn't call piling into an elevator an escape. The color correction was good, at times it would transition awkwardly (Between the church and the streets) but other than that, no real issues besides the somewhat short length.
Pros:
Great scenery Good layouts Well-done NAV mesh Nice touch with the BBC broadcast Authentic feel Decent voice acting Good spread of supplies Panic Events and hordes weren't too big or too small Campaign-specific music Werewolf Tanks Great attention to detail and visual design
Cons:
The objectives can become a little unclear at times Somewhat long with a short ending (effort /= payoff)
Conclusion:
A great campaign. Well worth the time to play. I would advise playing with friends, as it can get harder on your own. The ending seems reminiscent of One 4 Nine, though - it's short and is badly done with an awkward camera position. I would recommend changing the camera angle and making the ending shot longer.
Pros:
Great map design Good spread of supplies Redesigned map 2 safehouse and starting area Survivor dialogue that isn't ambient_generic! The bridge is realistic Fun gameplay and events
Cons:
Some brushwork is a little sloppily put-together The sand texture on the beach looks bad Witches spawn too early in map 1
Conclusion:
A great campaign. It's come a long way since I first saw it in 2009. A few little issues but nothing that drags the campaign down too much.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great visual design Good boss fight Awesome co-op play
Cons:
No tier 2 weapons until map 4 Constant hordes + inconsistency Bots sometimes struggle in map 2 Map layouts can be puzzling Vending machines didn't output anything Can't really call "lock picking" a gameplay mechanic Awful color correction in the interiors of map 2 and 3
Conclusion:
A campaign that has its fair share of issues. I'll go through the cons. 1. Tier 2 weapons should be placed in early map 3, about halfway through the campaign. It provides players with a sense of progress and makes them feel a little more well-equipped. Which is all the better, considering that supplies can be few and far between. 2. Hordes can be overdone - and you've certainly overdone them. They are so often that they become progress hindrances - and it's obvious you did it to extend the map length, which is something no developer should do. Ever. And on top of that, the hordes are inconsistent - they'll come for an exploding pipe underground, but no sign of any hordes appear when a barricade explodes above ground. 3. Self explanatory. Ellis and Coach died because too many infected swarmed them during the "gate" sequence in map 2. 4. This might have been just for me, but no matter how many times I used the vending machines, they didn't give me anything. 5. The map layout can be really confusing at times - I went in circles numerous times. 6. It's not really "lock picking" - its a func_button_timed. Anyone can do those. Unless you make certain doors be a puzzle or have some sort of "lock pick" inventory, then you can't really say lock picking is a feature. It's better described as taking 5 seconds longer to open certain doors. 7. The color correction in the end safehouse of map 2/initial surface is absolutely terrible. It drains nearly all the colors inside the building and gives a soft orange glow, and it's quite noticeable. Lessen the color drain affect and it will look better. Sorry for slamming the campaign in my review, I'm just trying to give you my opinion from another developer.

Pros:
Visually appealing maps Well designed Great spread of weapons and supplies Good intro The way map 2 ends is pretty awesome
Cons:
Finale becomes overly difficult Somewhat short Could've used more exposition in the bunker
Conclusion:
An overall good campaign, even though it isn't technically finished.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great map design in map 3 Decent visual design Fun finale Unexpected outro Good spread of supplies
Cons:
Bad map design in map 1 and 2. Became frustrating to play Tedious gameplay in maps 1 and 2 Boring visuals in map 1 No intro
Conclusion:
A campaign that has potential that hasn't been realized yet. A decent campaign with loads of room for improvement
Pros:
Amazing detail in the maps Great map layouts Lots of character dialogue Great event ideas Noteworthy areas that are visually well-designed Good amount of scattered supplies
Cons:
A little difficult at times Lots of hordes
Conclusion:
A great campaign! I'm a hard critic, but this campaign managed to earn a high score - one that I don't give out often.
Pros:
Terrible yet funny voice acting from the truck driver Good map design Well-detailed maps
Cons:
Truck part is very buggy Constant hordes Unbalanced difficulty Boat scavenge is difficult when alone Lack of supplies
Conclusion:
A well-detailed campaign marred by issues that make it frustrating to play.
Pros:
Stays true to the design from Bioshock Great map design Colorful Lighting is well-done
Cons:
Too many infected spawning at once Not a fan of the "let's build" maps Needs ammo piles Needs a survival version Unbalanced gameplay
Conclusion:
A great map that isn't so hot once the gameplay starts going. Overall, a solid effort.
Pros:
Decent gameplay Has some good ideas Nice detail in the first map
Cons:
Bots aren't cooperative in map 2 Nothing notable or spectacular about the design Bad map design and layout Finale is unbalanced
Conclusion:
A campaign that unfortunately has nothing truly notable about it. It doesn't stand out in the crowded space of campaigns and maps.
Pros:
Great bridge design Infected only come at you from one way Good NAV Plenty of supplies Attention to detail
Cons:
Not a fan of custom music Red concrete texture taken from 2019
Conclusion:
Overall, a fun map. However i'm not a fan of custom music in survival maps, so it deters me from replaying it. Overall, an 8.5/10
Pros:
AMAZING visual design. Some interesting gameplay mechanics. Beautiful level design No use of filters to pretty up the levels Great NAV work Good soundtrack
Cons:
Massive performance problems. Frequent FPS drops (60 -> 20) Unoptimized Finale was confusing Frequent hordes No soundscapes Safehouses aren't done right
Conclusion:
(V1.1) A great campaign. Has the best visual design I've seen in a while in L4D, however it is marred by optimization and performance problems which are frequent enough that it distracts from the gameplay and takes most of the score away from the final verdict, giving the campaign a 7/10 in its first release. Obviously there's room for improvement, but for now the campaign is playable. As for the safehouses issue, the ending safehouse of one level isn't the same as the starting safehouse of the next, so there's some continuity issues there. Especially when you go in one door in one level and go out the same door the next, but it's a different building.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great foliage Decent survival rate Good lighting Custom content
Cons:
Small space to fight in The map is very small Confusing layout Not enough supplies
Conclusion:
A nice survival map that could use some more work.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great quality Consistent design Awesome visuals
Cons:
Lackluster finale Each level is a little too long A tad boring
Conclusion:
A great campaign that's unfortunately brought down by the finale. It feels anti-climatic and is very easy. Otherwise, a solid 8.5
Pros:
Actual facial animation! Great rig - no problems
Cons:
FPS arms look a little off the gun at times.
Conclusion:
Can we get Sam B next?
Pros:
Great attention to detail Nice events Solid map length Good looking animations and custom models Level design is fantastic Great lighting
Cons:
Hordes come often (V 1.0) Oversaturated color correction Campaign comes with arby's re-anim mods (V 1.0) No Tier 2 Weapons until the 4th map Too many pistols in map 2 and 3 Hardly any variety of melee weapons
Conclusion:
Overall, a great campaign that is a bit overshadowed by it's two biggest current issues, the horde and the weapon mod issue. Overall though it's a solid campaign that could use a bit of work. Review for: Version 1.0
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great visuals Thorough detail throughout the campaign Some excellently crafted environments (the two planes + the road area) Custom music that fits Tom Savini!
Cons:
Uneven pacing (4th map is pretty long while the others are normal) Radio voice is too distorted Melee weapons are very rare
Conclusion:
Overall a very satisfying campaign that is a bit long but is very expertly crafted. The events are timed right and no horde was too big or too small. The visuals are pretty damn good, and there was amazing detail in some parts and good detail throughout. Overall a 9/10
Pros:
Good quality models VGUI Icons Name Swap
Cons:
Hands are downright horrible - it's like they were hacked together with no thought of quality. Same faces - but no mouth movement
Conclusion:
The FPS arms alone drag the score down due to how horrible they are. Otherwise it's a good mod.
Pros:
Excellent amount of detail Fun events, like the falling rocks Good concept Custom music and voice acting
Cons:
Lack of ammo piles Bots stood in the lava, not caring that it was hurting them Could use some more weapon choices during the middle of the map One of the first blocked off areas, the one with the delivery truck, is glitch-able Many areas where getting out of the map is possible
Conclusion:
Nice! Solid good work, guys. A couple problems here and there but nothing that really detracts from the value, except for the bot problem. Not sure how to get around that one though, so I didn't take off too many points for it. I noticed a lot of the same cars but differently colored, but thanks to L4D2 having like 5 different car models total, I didn't take off any points.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Greatly Designed The Volcano and the lava's design is impressive Nice amount of detail Lots of fun events
Cons:
Appears unfinished Hardly any sound effects No Intro Bots easily die in the lava The explosion doesn't appear significant - add some funky color correction, more shaking, and an explosion sound effect and some slow motion. Too many supplies
Conclusion:
A very good start! However, the map feels unfinished - no intro and hardly any sound effects. A solid 7.5/10
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Good looking animations Smooth and fluid
Cons:
No animations for two pistols Reloading takes a bit longer than usual
Conclusion:
A great mod but feels incomplete.
Pros:
Graphically, it's one of the best maps I've ever seen. Impressive helicopter animations Excellent effects Best use of cubemaps I've ever seen Solid gameplay Massive improvements since the original beta
Cons:
Relies too much on color correction, smoke and lens flare for it's impressiveness Some small NAV problems - like bots can't rescue you if incapped on the flamethrower Tanks spawned in easy kill areas
Conclusion:
A great map! Hopefully we'll see more in the coming weeks. It's definitely improved since the original beta, which is something not too many maps do.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great map design Plenty of supplies Nice ambience Great cinematic concept.
Cons:
Bots can, and often will fall out of the helicopter and it is easy to do so yourself NAV is terrible, bots stood in the fire in the atrium area in the first map Random Horde? Finale is extremely hard Could use some more props Visual bugs in the first map
Conclusion:
A good start but it has a long way to go. In my eyes this shouldn't of been released so soon, it is plagued with issues in the first map alone. There is no "ground" on the helicopter ride and the environment seems to be lacking other buildings and general city detail. The Bot NAV is also awful, they stood in the fire area of the atrium and refused to move. The finale needs more supplies. Overall 6/10 I will change my score once the campaign has been updated with most of the issues fixed.
Pros:
Great atmosphere Good level design Custom melee weapons Nice intro and outro Custom music Custom events
Cons:
Some of the music is a bit louder than what it needs to be, for example, the saferoom music. Can get a little hard at times. Hardly any story to this - It's basically get from point A to point B.
Conclusion:
A great campaign!
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great design Good NAV Awesome lighting
Cons:
Obvious use of color correction - tone it down CC is distracting at the finale Confusing, disappointing ending Lots of hordes in maps 3-5 Bots have some trouble with staying alive
Conclusion:
Just like Mass Effect 3, this campaign is great. All until the ending. It's confusing. Disappointing. And the color correction could be toned down slightly, and for some reason I got constant hordes in maps 3-5. Rammed up the difficulty. Otherwise 8.5/10
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Somewhat interesting map Good survival rate
Cons:
Supplies are too spread out Map could use more detail Infected only came from one or two areas at a time, mainly the room we started in or the ones behind us if we're on the warhead area.
Conclusion:
A good map, could use some improvements but it's good.
Pros:
Great atmosphere Seems similar to The Passing Great ambient sounds Didn't find any issues with NAV Good environment detail
Cons:
The Finale is a bit too much on the bots. They had trouble keeping up with me. Seems to have an identity crisis - The campaign doesn't have anything memorable in it
Conclusion:
A great campaign! Virtually no problems with NAV, great environment, but the campaign doesn't seem to have anything memorable to it. Good job though!
Pros:
Creepy environment Excellent use of soundscapes Perfect lighting Explosions look good at night The cemetery is especially creepy Fires look amazing Good blend of lighting - neither too dark or too bright. Path system adds a little variety Added Survivor Dialogue
Cons:
Dynamic Path system is a bit flawed - you can tell the difference between valve work and Acermors' work Infected have a bit too much of an edge with the roofs in versus Grace period from alarm event has been removed, amping up the difficulty and giving bots more trouble General lack of zombies in bits of maps 3-5 Not too much has been changed. Many instances in which Survivor lines were overlapped by other survivor lines.
Conclusion:
A good re-release of an already good campaign. The lighting steals the spotlight here, almost managing to hide the questionable design choices. There's really no new content here besides about 30 seconds of extra paths, so this campaign seems to be a showcase of "been there, done that" but with upgraded lighting. 7.5/10
Pros:
Nice, long campaign for a beta. Survivor Dialogue
Cons:
Confusing map layout Supplies are rare in map 3 No soundscapes NAV can be finnicky at certain points (Highway) All maps need more supplies
Conclusion:
Good job! I like the length but it definitely has some edges to work out.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great atmosphere Decent story
Cons:
Map quality can go from decent to bad Bad NAV Constant hordes I like a challenge but damn this is one I can't beat. Fog is too close Confusing map layout Too little supplies
Conclusion:
It tries, but it doesn't hit the mark. Unfortunately, this campaign feels less than half-baked in the oven, falling prey to design issues and questionable choices made during development. The campaign is practically impossible to play with bots - they have a tendency to not pick up weapons and have a hard time defending themselves. Constant hordes, confusing map layouts and lack of supplies pretty much kill the campaign for an average L4D2 player. 3.5/10
Pros:
Stays true to the original Great visuals
Cons:
Unbalanced gameplay Awful bot NAV Bots constantly trigger the cameras and blow up the weapons cache Many little bugs Difficulty spikes
Conclusion:
A great concept, but unfortunately, marred by bad execution. Bot NAV is downright terrible, and are player dependent for the entire campaign. Could've been great. 6/10
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Good use of displacements and fog Visually appealing Looks the part of the movie, mostly
Cons:
Too difficult on your own Bot NAV is iffy Could be more true to the movie in terms of outside the house Auto-starts Little variety of supplies Skybox could be extended
Conclusion:
A decent attempt that needs some work.
Pros:
Infected come from one area - yet it's challenging Good amount of supplies Great NAV Sandstorm Effect
Cons:
The Base is ordinary - nothing makes it special Terribly small Hardly any melee weapons - this is necessary for a map this small
Conclusion:
It's pretty good, although hampered by the map being terribly small with no real exploration.
Pros:
Excellent Atmosphere Skybox looks Great Good spread of supplies and weapons Challenging
Cons:
Small Closed in
Conclusion:
Great map! I love the atmosphere however the map is a bit on the small side.
Pros:
Excellent animations Great weapon quality
Cons:
None I can think of
Conclusion:
Quality work! Your mods are very good, haus.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Looks great Fun little events like Hillbilly help Great intro The dogs are funny Good amount of supplies Good design Good balance between easy and challenging
Cons:
The house itself looks blocky, most notably on the first level.
Conclusion:
Great map! However the retreat itself looks blocky. As this is the main focus of the map, it detracts from the score more than it usually would.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Excellent design Great use of the rain Good amount of detail Decent amount of supplies Makes for a good challenge Awesome ambience The infected come from all around the forest - you never know where they'll pop out.
Cons:
The houses have no props in them - it would make for better detail. Supplies are all in one place - spread them out Bot NAV can be a bit messy in some areas
Conclusion:
I liked this! It's a very good map and makes awesome use of the dynamic rain storm. 8/510
Pros:
The train finale is pretty cool. The environment can look decent at times.
Cons:
The environment ranges from decent to poor. It's okay to copy and paste some stuff, but not entire sections from official campaigns. Ambient sounds are practically non-existent What is the point of the radio on the first map? The garage door event can by bypassed as the infected burst through the wall right next to it The finale is broken - never saw a tank or SI Poor intro Poor finale Blocky brushwork Short maps The poster is not relevant at all to the campaign The third map is confusing
Conclusion:
Overall, it tried but didn't get there. 4/10
Pros:
Great attention to detail Great quality
Cons:
The dirt detracts a little bit from the look
Conclusion:
Pretty good. Fits Nick's role and looks great on him.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Good scale of environments Custom Music
Cons:
Bland textures and environments Lacks detail No witches
Conclusion:
Not really much to say about this campaign. It suffers from what a lot of campaigns do unfortunately, and there's nothing truly notable about it. 6.5/10
Pros:
Looks Great FPS Arms Gives Nick a more "badass" look Character select screen
Cons:
None
Conclusion:
This is great. I really like it.
Pros:
Excellent Quality Feels like a BF3 rifle Great anims
Cons:
None at all
Conclusion:
Awesome gun. I use this all the time.
Pros:
Bots react much faster now. Bots keep going after death.
Cons:
None.
Conclusion:
This mod makes single player much more enjoyable.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
The hotel is visually excellent 3D skybox is good on the 3rd level First map looks good, lighting is on par Lighting looks great in Hotel map
Cons:
Confusing level design and layout Lack of supplies in third saferoom no intro Hotel area lacks detail No survivor dialogue WAY too many car alarms. 2nd map is bland, boring and visually unimpressive
Conclusion:
There's my two cents. Unfortunately for this campaign, the only saving grace and notability is the hotel area. It's greatly designed, but fails in the sense that there is very little detail or clutter to it.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Excellent lighting Definitely looks like a club A survival map with an Intro Artwork is unique. Great theme Some areas look awesome, such as the bars and the blue room. Rate of survival is okay - nothing too bad or too good. Good Poster
Cons:
If it's a club, there should be music of some kind playing. Too much artwork. It's like you're advertising the Dali guy.
Conclusion:
It's pretty good. While there is only slight room for improvement (a good thing) the map as a whole didn't wow me.
Pros:
Great looking environments in some areas such as the museum and subway. Interesting design choices Museum looks awesome Use of a gauntlet event
Cons:
Environment can be lacking detail in some, most notably the second map's hallways. Horde is too large for the elevator event. Bots were all incapped. Needs a bit more lighting in the first part of map 1 Supplies are too thinly spread out in map 2 Final level's finale area needs to be camp-proofed Hardly any survivor dialogue Big 30 FPS drop in the museum entrance
Conclusion:
Some of the environments, like the museum, subway tunnels and the elevator area look great. Others are just plain with lack of details such as the hallways in map 2. Otherwise it's a great attempt at a campaign, needs some tuning.
Pros:
Excellent design. Interesting puzzles Challenging on any difficulty....yet fun. Ending has a huge twist Easter Eggs The pipes event is FUN Long, enduring maps Well-spread out supplies NAV is perfect Extremely fun with 4 players and even bots Even fun on the higher difficulties
Cons:
None.
Conclusion:
It's unusual that I give a 100 to any map. For that to happen, it must be perfect in every form. Nihilanth, I award you a perfect score on the basis that your map itself is perfect in every form. No horde is too large or too small, no bot had a mishap, and no event was TOO hard. Congratulations. This campaign is the most fun I've had in a while.
Pros:
Good layout Visually interesting
Cons:
No intro No survivor dialogue Very short extremely easy
Conclusion:
I finally got around to this and I'm a bit less than impressed, only one map and it's short. While it does have a good visual style it doesn't have the gameplay to back it up. 7/10
Pros:
Insanely Fun Original Optional "no zombies" mode Knome easter egg Creative Awesome destruction
Cons:
A bit short on length Isn't replayable after the first few times
Conclusion:
A short yet sweet campaign that is fun, original and daring. 9/10.
Pros:
Great Scenery Good placement of supplies Awesome brushwork and attention to detail Fun events Great replayability
Cons:
A few areas that lack detail but nothing too bad.
Conclusion:
A great campaign with many fun elements that i'll definitely come back too. Epic!
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Excellent Quality Models Anims looks great
Cons:
None
Conclusion:
An awesome mod. Try it and you'll see what I'm talking about
Pros:
Excellent Quality Looks great
Cons:
None
Conclusion:
This is a good replacement for the boring, regular anims of the sniper.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great design Visually pleasing at times Good map length
Cons:
Brushwork is a tad blocky Environments can look bland, boring, flat and incomplete at times Poster has L4D characters No real story
Conclusion:
For a first attempt, this is great!
Pros:
So amazing! really helps me out, I can't play L4D2 to save my life! I mean really, THE MAP IS VISUALLY INCREDIBLE
Cons:
ABSOULETLY NOEN
Conclusion:
download this map hard it is so awesome guys i mean seriouly
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Excellent Map Design Good use of sounds Really grabs the 'China' feel Awesome theme Intricate detail
Cons:
Finale is glitchy (APC door refuses to open)
Conclusion:
EXCELLENT Campaign. I will play this again! I love your work!
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great Scenery Epic Scale Awesome lighting Neat poster Great Gameplay Good pacing Atmosphere is ****ing awesome Excellent placement of weapons and supplies
Cons:
NAV is terrible on first part of map 1
Conclusion:
A great campaign, 90/100.
Pros:
He's a cop! Great model No right hand warping Extremely detailed
Cons:
Nothing really
Conclusion:
It's awesome! Very good attention to detail.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
The airliner intro is awesome! Not to mention detailed! Great scenery. Really has the "China" feel. The finale is sweet! Awesome new music!
Cons:
The parachutes on the plane should not have randomized spawns. It's aggrevating when you can't find the last chute. Short Even with Game Helper on, it's confusing on where to go. The NAV is awful on the upper part of the airliner
Conclusion:
An excellent campaign. I will play this again and I reccomend it to everyone!
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Absolutely Amazing Theme. Unlimited Possibilites. Very little bugs for something this unprecedented. LOTS of fun.
Cons:
Turrets fire at you instead of infected in Sandbox Some issues with survivors not picking up kits and weapons in Base Putting down items in Sandbox is a bit iffy
Conclusion:
This is a great new concept! I LOVE IT! Also, I fired Louis because of his pills addiction :P Just shy of 100.
Pros:
Decent Scenery Feels Like China Outro and Intro is cool, even with the too-shaky camera Good Custom Music
Cons:
Two tanks together at the end of the second level Second Level become boring when you get to all the barricades Had a bit of trouble finding the Radio for the Finale at first. Custom Music is a bit too quiet at the finale Textures repeat too much..use blends Blocky brushwork Horrible 3D skybox lighting
Conclusion:
An Okay effort at a China Campaign.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Good pacing Sky Bar looks somewhat nice Good for a WIP Nice looking poster A new concept
Cons:
Can get boring at times Bad lighting Bots often get confused and stuck as where to go; Bad NAV indication Kinda hard
Conclusion:
So far, so good!
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Cool lighting Good "futuristic" feel
Cons:
NAV was off when I last played it Supplies are few and far Automatic startup Confusing map layout
Conclusion:
Nice map.
Pros:
Good displacements Decent amount of supplies Map looks great visually lots of detail
Cons:
Framerate drops NAV is uneven Bad Poster
Conclusion:
It was an okay map.
Pros:
Great Theme Awesome Brushwork Good-looking Replica Spread-out supplies Sepia is a nice touch
Cons:
The sepia really takes away all lighting, making the map not as fun as it could be, which gives it a drab, dull look. While it does fit the theme, I didn't really like it. NAV also needs a bit of work, too many special infected spawn at one time and they only come from one place.
Conclusion:
It's a pretty decent map. Great theme.
Pros:
L4D1 Survivors are a nice touch Ambient Rain Great Lighting, good job on the use of sprites NAV is a bit off, but decently balanced feels like the L4D Style
Cons:
Map feels small and cramped; doesn't stay true to the "open-world survival' premise Skybox buildings look like huge blocks; push the fog a bit farther? Hard to survive Badly placed supplies Lack of supplies
Conclusion:
A decent map, we need more like these. However, spread around the supplies, and add more.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Fun Nice Idea Easy to survive to at least 4 minutes Barricades can be built fast
Cons:
Pace is a tad fast Hard to keep the barricades up, even with 4 players
Conclusion:
Good fun, with only a few very minor problems.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great Lighting Excellent Atmosphere Fun little puzzles Neat little transmission overlay Cool, futuristic feeling (Almost like Doom 3 or Dead Space)
Cons:
Terrible voice acting Beginning is extremely hard with only pistols on Advanced and Expert
Conclusion:
Great map! Might i suggest adding an extra pistol at the start so players either have the choice of melee or dual wielding?
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Looks promising Awesome Intro Decent Poster
Cons:
Crashed when I got control of player, got a GHardware cache error of a haystack model (de_inferno model) The new Survivor skins, while new and cool, do not mix well with their old outfits Extreme FPS Drops Crashes often IF you get past the intro.
Conclusion:
Looks very good and promising, but needs to be fixed.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great Pacing! Love the atmosphere Food Court level is great More Mall Good Brushwork and modeling Changes for the better from DBD2 Cool new intro and music
Cons:
Slight oddities with the new level's NAV Increased Difficulty Still no Intro Dialogue Again, large file size, and with the new download cap for the public server it can take over an hour to download (Didn't take away points)
Conclusion:
Awesome addition to the DBD series! I love it! I'm going to go as far to say this is better than DBD2! More cinematic, better changes to the NAV, and great new additions.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Fun Can train people Fun with friends You can switch teams
Cons:
Like i said before, needs at least some light, but I didn't take away from the score. No insruction as to what room goes where/what console spawns what, etc.
Conclusion:
It's decent, better than your other Training Maps around here.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Good Brushwork 26 Cans NAV is good Custom Skybox
Cons:
A bit blocky Weapon selection is poor
Conclusion:
It's ok. Dev Textures actually don't look half bad on a map for once, so I excluded it from the cons list.
Pros:
Good Brushwork Felt like Resident Evil L4D1 Survivors Puzzles Traps
Cons:
Continuity, you are underground and then suddenly above it in the next map. Red Queen is too quiet (sound files wise) Empty Doesn't feel like Resident Evil after 1st map Lazer Hallway is a bit cheap Only pistols for about half the first map Weapons shouldn't be absorbed, give players some choice! Missing models since Sacrifice update Poor texturing and placement of Umbrella logos
Conclusion:
Well, It's good, but the main irk is with the scenery and geometry. While it maintains a look of Resident Evil, poor texturing and emptyness brings it down. A good attempt though.
Pros:
Great Port L4D1 Survivors Good placement of supplies No lighting issues like the previous ports
Cons:
None, really. It's a Valve map so I can't really make cons about things that aren't in the author's control.
Conclusion:
Great Map.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great Feeling Loved the trailer hanging over the edge, but why not make it hang lower? Good Atmosphere Good amount of supplies
Cons:
Map is very small Many spots to camp, most notably in the trailer, and in the corner of the overturned bus Not many places to setup a decent defense
Conclusion:
A good map, just needs a little fine tuning. Maybe you could possibly remove the bus and add on to that area? And you could lay down a 'clip' brush by the bus, so players can't camp in the corner.
Pros:
No lag for me (I'm running an i5 Processor) Great Brushwork Excellent Lighting Awesome models
Cons:
Missing Textures on Balcony above Snowman Model pop-in NAV is horrible, bots got stuck often and made no attempt to follow or even spawn to me Infected spawn WAY too early and too much, I survived literally 45 seconds. The chairs in the cafe should be prop_physics The ladder on the first floor doesn't go up high enough before you fall No Melee Weapons Supplies aren't scattered Only a few weapon choices No 3D skybox at the back of the lodge Some doors are openable that shouldn't be Many areas where a clip brush should be Feels empty
Conclusion:
Well, I'm disappointed. It feels rushed to get it out and more work should've been done, but I understand your time constraints. I'm sorry for the bad score, I really am. I try to like this map, but the cons outweigh the pros so much the map seems to be only good for eye candy right now.

Pros:
Great Scenery Good Lighting Decent Survival Time Supplies are scattered decently Great Skybox Good Weapon Balance
Cons:
Only 2 houses enterable There's not much to see outside in terms of scenery Magnum and some weapons like Sniper Rifle and Axe, etc. are missing.
Conclusion:
Great map.
Pros:
Extremely Epic Great placement of Supplies The Other Survivors help Feels like a last stand Ending
Cons:
Louis has a hard time tracking targets, thus rarely fires the emplaced gun. Many special Infected spawn two Chargers, Spitters, etc at a time, which shouldn't happen.
Conclusion:
Just shy of a perfect score. If you could download ONE Survival map off of this site, download this.

Pros:
Great Feeling Nostalgia Just the right amount of difficulty Great level design and puzzles Custom Music
Cons:
Bots have occasional trouble Finale outro is a bit lackluster.
Conclusion:
A great, nostalgic Campaign.
Pros:
Great Detail Fishes Awesome Poster Good textures
Cons:
There's two main areas of supplies Infected spawn too early A bit Hard Lack of detail in some hallways (like 1st, 2nd, and last pic)
Conclusion:
Great design, needs a little bit of updating.
Pros:
Great Idea Good Textures Great Concept
Cons:
Bots get stuck commonly NAV issues Supplies are VERY hard to find Very little supplies Missle Targeting System is broken Very little detail, most shops are empty Extremely Shiny No real out-of-the-way places Cubemaps needed
Conclusion:
Needs a lot of work.
Pros:
Slow-mo is good
Cons:
No way to trigger the survival start unless you noclip to the otherside of the map, which is impossible on multiplayer Map is way too small at first Little starting supplies Skybox is iffy Slow-mo is too long No clues
Conclusion:
A great attempt.
Pros:
Reminds me of Still Creek Great gameplay Custom hints Great out-of-the-way places Fun to gather up all of the Propane and gas tanks, then use them as a giant bomb in Survival
Cons:
Custom music is too quiet Map is relatively small in length Bots get stuck in the chicken wire by the speakers and jukebox Bots sometimes fall from the ladder and die NAV is uneven (bots had a hard time following me)
Conclusion:
A great map.
Pros:
Good spread of supplies Great Soundscape Jukebox I love the feel of the map M60
Cons:
Map is linear, pretty straight-foward with no real out of the way places The bodies on the police car don't ragdoll like they should The Survivors' scream at the beginning is too loud Tank can use the cars to it's advantage (making them prop_static should fix this)
Conclusion:
A great map, just make it bigger and fix the tank issue.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Good setting Great visuals
Cons:
No NAV...wtf Not fun
Conclusion:
Why did you release this when it needs SO much more work done?
Pros:
New twist on the finale Plane crash still cool as ever It's Dead Air!
Cons:
Maps look a bit bright, especially finale Panic Events are easy You can Rush the campaign
Conclusion:
A port that is not too shabby. Lighting could be improved.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Nostalgia Unique theme Not too hard, but not too easy (as in just right) Custom Music Custom Graffiti Gary Motherf***ing Oak!
Cons:
Supplies are thinly spread out Textures can seem a bit flat Pop-in (grass can suddenly appear right in front of you, then disappear as you walk away) 'Tall' Grass is not tall
Conclusion:
This desperately needs a campaign. The only things that drag it down a bit are thinly spread supplies, flat textures, and minor pop-in (i didn't deduct any for the Grass)
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Dark Initial defenses Lots of supplies
Cons:
Typo in map poster (It's 'Emergency' not 'Emergancy', that was just a typo in the original CEDA logo) Not enough props, map is quite empty Map is also small Darker than what is shown in the screenshots....much darker Tent is no longer safe, so why have a sh*tload of supplies in it? Bots have a hard time dealing with the infected
Conclusion:
This is a map meant to be played with friends. There's no problems, but some improvements (namely lighting) may be necessary for this map to shine.
Pros:
Amount of zombies onscreen in front of you can be impressive Endurance Maps Fun to kill zombies
Cons:
Endless hordes Campaign is very overrated Intro glitch Doesn't really tell a story More melee weapons! Intro music on each map is annoying Rare Stretched and crappy textures Too many health kits Maps are wwwwaaaayyyy too long (6 very large maps) Not your typical plug and play campaign- will require at least 2 hours to finish it (an hour over the norm)
Conclusion:
An overrated campaign that doesn't have too much to show besides killing zombies. Endless hordes and the length broke the campaign for me.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
The Concept is fresh. The Map design is a fresh, new look from L4D2's apocalypse setting
Cons:
2nd and 3rd map are cramped, too many infected No clear instructions or goals PLENTY of supplies Bot NAV is terrible
Conclusion:
A Far Cry from what usual mappers crank out, this is a fresh new idea that we should be seeing more of.
Pros:
Great Brushwork Good representation
Cons:
Missing textures galore (just white lines) (I looked in the VPK with GCFscape, and if there are any custom materials, you forgot to pack them in) Why can't we go in water? Map feels a bit small
Conclusion:
It may be me, but I do not know. I have addon support installed. But otherwise, great map!
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Open ended gameplay Fun to hold down the fort Supplies are well spread out Looks good
Cons:
Too Cramped, get rid of some vehicles in the streets Hard to manuever in the floor below Minigun Too small of a map for such a big setting Bots have a bit of trouble getting around
Conclusion:
Good job, this being your first map. The streets feel too cramped, though, get rid of some vehicles, needs to be more open ended. It's also hard to manuever in the floor below the miningun, mainly because of the debris. The map also feels too small, especially for a "big city" setting. Overall, pretty good.
Pros:
Great Skybox Unique Fun to Play Visually Pleasing
Cons:
Wasn't very open, felt cramped Choppy Intro Not enough detail on buildings and street below (the buildings are all a dull grey color) Bot Pathfiniding was bad (IE they wouldn't follow me Supplies were few and far between
Conclusion:
A great map, but it has some flaws. The skybox is great, until upon closer inspection you can see the "Box" and some black lines below the NYC skyline.
Pros:
New finale= good more maps
Cons:
FIVE maps? Really? How the hell do you extend a 2 map campaign into 5... Too open Conversion did a number on the graphical quality.
Conclusion:
Needs more work to be up to standard we have been seeing with you lately.
Pros:
Great design Lots of items
Cons:
Map is too small No areas to effectively hold out past 7 minutes Map needs more detail
Conclusion:
Its a good attempt, just make it so we can go outside, make an effective hold out area, and place some more detail inside the supermarket. Besides the outside view, it looks like there was no such thing as an apocalypse.
Pros:
Great Design Sense of scale is amazing Finale is beast Great lighting
Cons:
Should've made it to where the Survivors had to jump from boat to boat in the docks level to get to the freighter ..Finale is also too easy!
Conclusion:
It's a fine attempt at a map, didn't see any bugs, though. add some more detail to the lighthouse in the docks level though. And it would've been funner to jump from half-sunken boat to boat to get to the freighter. Overall it's pretty good.

Pros:
Looks good Looks like Pandora from Avatar Visually pleasing
Cons:
Not really spacey, more like extra-terrestrial jungle Only one map(Yes, I know it was built for survival but still) Music can be annoying at times, even if it does relate to the B-movie title
Conclusion:
Great map, but it looks more like a jungle than space.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Looks good Has that 'swedish' feel to it
Cons:
Too hard to defend not enough weapons why can't we go upstairs? Need some snow
Conclusion:
Great concept, but put some snow in to make it really seem like Sweden. And why can't we go up? Isn't that the point of a hotel?
Pros:
Great map design Right amount of weapons surprisingly hard
Cons:
AI glitches A bit small
Conclusion:
Great map, only problem is the AI gets confused. Make it a bit larger, too.
Pros:
Great map design Pretty open Lots of different spaces
Cons:
Not enough weapons, some even missing Orange sky should be changed to nighttime, to fit the environment AI bots can get confused
Conclusion:
Good map, just needs some changes and additions and it will be good.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Very Entetaining Levels are long enough to the point that it's cool Great level design
Cons:
No good weapons until halfway through Wind effect on helipad is crap, would've liked to defend myself there and it was annoying for teamates to slip.
Conclusion:
Great map, keep it up.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
Great map Nice looking resort Visually appealing No spawning errors like in your desc. at all.
Cons:
HORRIBLE looking space beyond the fence by the pool. A beach would be better. map is a bit small No respawning guns
Conclusion:
Great map, but a beach would be better instead of a crap-looking lake. And add respawning guns.
Pros:
Awesome level design No glitches whatsoever
Cons:
A bit too easy Bile bombs and pipe bombs are ineffective, due the the Infected being largely spread out. A lot of supplies.
Conclusion:
Very good map, love the airport setting, now all we need is an Airport Terminal survival map.
