I feel it unable to tell why my old review was that kind of offensive.. Replayed this yesterday, simply tried Expert Realism with one improved bot. Its map layout can't be said to be disappointing, the fact is just that it inherits the design style of Blackout Basement, which lowers overall playing experience due to dull atmosphere. By the way, there're some jesus spots and shortcuts that can be easily found, but I don't have time to report them right now.

Sadly it's not Suicide Blitz 2 and is more like Whispers of Winter instead, so I'm not gonna like it myself. However, I suppose its design is closer to Valve style, and some features of this campaign is also fun. Would have a place in the L4D2 mapping history. Update: LOL, some poor haters are downvoting nearly every comment for this campaign. Just like that of ModDB, the dislike feature of GameMaps is a failure and should be removed so that those rage guys can't simply hid behind a screen, which is just annoying. BTW, have a look at the only comment that haven't get a dislike. You'll know what I mean.

No Doubt That the L4D1 Version Is Also Great
Finished on Expert (Realism Mode doesn't exist in L4D1 lol). I prefer DC version for its more amazing level design, but this one's definitely almost as good. The only shortage that matters is the holdout event on M4 - to be honest, it's a bit annoying on a singleplayer game. Throwing a Tank at survivors as punishment is better than forcing them to restart. BTW there's a jesus spot in the finale XD

Epic details, solid design, better than many addon campaigns for both L4D. The pace isn't that polished, and some fresh events actually don't fit L4D gameplay, but yeah, you know that doesn't matter.

Nice
Most of the time, this campaigns has quite outstanding, non-linear and various map layout, encouraging players to explore and award them in return. But things can turn out to be disappointing sometimes. Taking the third map as an example, its areas basically can be said to be symmetric, which sounds like a bold try but has poor in-game performance, for there's no subtle designing points to save the samey experience, but the non-linear feature gets invisible instead. Pace is another matter that runs through the whole campaign. In simple words, the timing of the events are not well arranged to balance the gameplay. One obvious fact, one event in M1 and zero in M2? That's... weird. There're surely more details (and even more actual issues) to descrribe, but I'm feeling bored writing this review, so I'd skip most stuff. Overall, this campaign is carefully designed, but both advantages and disadvantages are clear, which makes the gameplay unbalanced. I don't mean the difficulty is unbalanced - I completed this on Expert Realism with a single bot, as usual.

It's nice to play another pretty snow themed campaign, even though this campaign seems to focus on details and creation rather than design. Just don't expect much.

Finally Here
Wooh, so it's finally on GameMaps... Though this was a reupload, I guess. I heard that this campaign can be quite difficult on Hard Eight when the complete version of it was firstly published, so my interest got piqued and drove me to try this campaign. Well, that's quite a time ago, but I can still tell how I felt about this campaign. I'm NOT a custom campaign critic, and I dislike people with that call as well. There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes. I just score campaigns by how fun they are or how do I like them. So - don't pay much attention to my unprofessional opinions. First of all, this campaign is not that hard on general Campaign mode, so there's no point in being afraid to try it. But is it really worth playing? That depends. We have to talk about the details - it's, to be honest, completely not attracting. The lighting is good, but the overall visual experience is hollow, samey and boring. If you don't mind that, then there's no major issues left. Just go and try this. If you're still reading, then there's some trash talk about the design. In my eyes, it followed the classic L4D level design ideas and made some innovations in "events", I guess. Some events are segmented, you'll understand how after you beat this campaign. Nonetheless, the overall design didn't hit my expectation. You can't appreciate it by the standards of (most) Valve campaigns. Anyway, it still feels better than many other campaigns. It would be nice to play this campaign when you just want to play L4D2 for some time. But if you're looking for impressive and featured campaigns, you know you have better choices.

Classic
Amazing, balanced and enjoyable. There does be several issues, like bot falling from ladders and the questionable difficulty of the finale.
Review
You can see some fresh design ideas in this campaign, but they have actually been used by some other earlier campaigns. Besides, the quality feels averge, just like some ported L4D1 campaigns.
Review
Well it's surely balanced (thanks to spacious map layout), I played on Expert Realism with a single improved bot and met no difficulty issues. But is it really fun? Nah, not for me at least. I checked your screenshots and found that you play with more than 8 players, but I can only find cold-hearted bots to play with me. Besides, I never play new campaigns with self-modified Director scripts (though I do use edited Hard-SI plugins), so my focus is on campaign itself instead of the infected. So, I'm not mean to criticize your campaign, but since most areas are spacious, they acrtually feels all the same. There's no essential differences between them. This campaign may be good on modes like Multi-SI or something else, but not on default campaign mode. I have no bad words for the original mod, but for L4D2, I think mods like Precursor can be better choices, though their design might not help make balanced gameplay. BTW I noticed that there're few melees & magnums in this campaign. Maybe there can be more. Additionally, there're many jesus spots in your campaign.

It's Simply Chaotic... I Like It
Compared with the previous campaign, this one contains: - Enhanced visual details & more unstable FPS - No more troll stuff (good bc even Glubtastic is not that troll) - Doubled explosives which made this campaign damn brutal for bots (one shoot and boom) - Some other interesting HL1 objects (man they even put the rail cart inro game, just like what Claustrophobia did) - Crazier Director scripts (so this campaign is actually harder than the previous one) - And more fun, why not Featured and unorthodox, absolutely worth a play.

Okay Port
HL1 maps don't fit L4D2 that well, so you just can't expect anything classic... Not bad to play anyway, since there're recreated novel HL objects, which are enough to enhance the gaming experience. The only two things I really dislike are: - Random troll stuff like Boomers that suddenly spawn (n Tanks on the third map, although I soon realized that there're tricks to deal with them) - The meddiocre optimization of the final map (FPS drops by about 50% compared to the previous maps) Guess crazy fans of HL1 would be satisfiedd with this, but I prefer HL2 lmao P.S. So I played this with a single (improved) bot, and after the game transitioned to the third map, I felt shocked to see that the game cloned a bot for me XD (I've never seen this situation before)
Unacceptable
Horrible port, as rough as you can imagine, even cool stuff like real HL2 supply crates can't save this campaign. Not recommended to anyone, even HL fans.
Review
Specifically modified and optimized for L4D (or it'll be insane, since I barely know what to do while playing the orginal HL2 mod), but still focused on puzzles (more specifically, item hunting). Despite the obvious flaws (on nav, pace, etc.), I had fun playing this.
Review
A long and pretty campaign. Every map has its own special theme, which makes this campaign extremly impressive. Though I don't prefer the design style, I have to say the gameplay is pretty solid. Have played dozens of times, and wouldn't mind to play a few more times.
Relaxing
Most areas are narrow, so random Tanks and Witches may be quite annoying. Other than that, this campaign is not epic or amazing, but nice to play.
Review
Due to the simple map layout (large area & few props), the gaming experience in different modes and difficulties may vary greatly. Anyway, it's just a campaign that endeavours to recreate places the author loves. We have seen his efforts, and that's enough.
Meh
This is what'll happen if a mapper can't execute his ideas well. - Unnecessarily large areas. Man, no sign tells me the areas are based on real-life places, so why are they like this... I never agree with the opinion that this style of map layout is suitable for L4D2. - Bad instructions. This campaign will severely punishes players who rarely explore. - So-so balance. I hardly ever complain about the amount of hordes (though I killed more than 1k zombies when I played for the first time), but I do care about ammo. I played on Expert Realism, so I noticed the flaw of unreasonble ammo supply settings. - Unstable. M2 (and M3?) still crashes often while there're also several weird glitches, which stopped my friend and I from playing on a dedicated server. Not awful (I just didn't list the good stuff out), but unpolished & mediocre.

Clearly not professional in some ways, but the design is pretty enjoyable anyway. Still remmember how I disliked this two years ago, haha.

Review
I don't really want to play L4D1, so this review is based on my gaming experience in L4D2. This campaign seems to be the first ever troll addon campaign. There're plenty of creative ideas shown, most of them are still unique today. Most challenges are easy to complete. However, the atmosphere is kinda... dead, because the author didn't set any necessary sounds to make the game come alive. Besides, the scenes are obviously rough. The instructions are also not that enough. Anyway, the flaws doesn't detract from the fact that this campaign is oddly "fun".
Great
Rather fun! The last time I felt this way was when I was replaying Gas Fever with my friend. I have to say that this campaign is designed more exquisitely than many other campaigns. Sometimes things just have to be a bit simpler! But there're surely one thing I'm not satisfied with - the spwaning of the Tanks. The two fixed Tank spawning events on M2 and M3 are unbalanced for they both allow CI and SI to spawn, which is not really fun considering the layout of the maps. Maybe playing on Expert Realism with a single bot wasn't such a good idea... About the 2018 edition: Worth a 9.4/10 overall. Its biggest difference with this is that it has improved graphics. Aditionally several areas of the third map were completely remade, so they will no longer make you think of HL2:EP1(?) that easily. The Tank event on M3 also appear randomly now btw, which make the campaign more, actually, unbalanced. But if you want, there's an obvious shortcut to help you skip it. Back to the theme, other maps do have design changes as well, but they're extremly minor. Well, that's it.

So, compared with the first campaign, this one includes improved details and smoother pace, making for a btter playing experience. About other aspects, I think there's no major difference (except design differences) with the first campaign - creative and good, but feels a little strange. Yeah, I myself dunno why as well... P.S. I have no actual objection to the finale. It's quite easy for me, even though I played on Expert Realism with only a single bot .

If That's It...
Pretty unprofessionally made, even worse than I predicted. Well, at least it doesn't play as terrible as Innes Road Rash or something else with similar mapping style, thanks to several "creative" events the author designed. That's all.

Played with a single improved bot on Expert Realism. Actually, it would be nice if the repetitive second map gets removed, although this campaign has dull atmosphere, bad balance and mediocre nav mesh. And I'm sad to know that this campaign has no relation to the Seven Hour War.

Nice
This Crash Course style campaign has pretty pleasing design overall, even though the layout of the final area can be improved. Yeah, the maps are a little samey in visuals, but that doesn't matter, because at least this campaign is much beter than some other truly disappointing campaigns.

Review
Whatever how others think about this campaign, it's just not to my taste. As long as a campaign is not made in purpose of recreating real-life places in game, making scenes based on gameplay is wiser than designing gameplay based on scenes, so I'd known that I wasn't going to enjoy this campaign ever since I began exploring in pointlessly large areas on the first map. An hours' playing expeience on Expert Realism proved my prediction. The fourth map is actually much better than the other maps in any ways, but that can't save everything. It's such a pity, as the other aspects are, honestly, accpectable.
Edited: August 2024
Average
Medium-quality campaign with few outstanding/attracting elements, lack polish on nav mesh and even balance as well as pace. It only took me 1 minute to find a jesus spot in the finale. Not that mediocre tho.

Nice short campaign with enjoyable difficulty (in regular modes), would be a pretty suitable choice for relaxing. There're not many notable elements, however. Valve quality? Honestly, still far from it.

Great
My 200th review on this site (but not the 200th addon campaign I ever played). Managed to complete this on Expert Realism with a single improved bot. To be honest, that's a pretty enjoyable experience. The detail level of the maps are good enough to enhance the atmosphere and immersion, not to mention that theis campiang is desert-themeed, which is still arguably unique to this day. Most areas have nice design as well, even though there aren't many instructions. However, "most" doesn't stand for "all" - surely, I have to complain that the third map is not as great as the other maps due to its disappointing balance and average layout. Speaking of shortcomings, I may also mention that several nav glithces are actually evenly distributed across the five maps. Anyway, totally it's a ngood classic campaign to play. I decide to give this a 8.8 out of 10, considering the design level is, in fact, still unable to hit the adjective "awesome".
Edited: August 2024
It's Just... Bad
Finished within 15 minutes on Expert Realism. There's nothing worth remembering in this campaign. I expected for a average but okay playing experience at first, but I soon found the map layout way too basic and simple, gave me almost the same feeling as someone randomly placed some inconsequential objects on a flat ground. The rescue? Well, it took me less than 5 seconds to find a jesus spot. How can it be?

Review
Wouldn't play this many times for its quite short walkthrough and terrifying optimization, but there does be some fun little stuff as well as nice details. It's better to explore with curiosity rather than rush through this campaign, or you'll lose the chance to be impressed.
It's Rough
I've never expected a campaign which recreates real life places to be of high quality. Did this campaign make me change my opinion? Of course not. Simple and repetitive design, average details, obivious nav issues... what's more, virtually the optimization is completely non-existent. A campaign with these features can't bring me fun.
Edited: July 2024
Not as Good as Expected
Well, this campaign features large and empty areas as well as depressing optimization. Obvious flaws are everywhere, many aspects are waiting to be improved. Still above average in visual experience and gameplay, however. The layout of the final map is unique and interesting, though I only spent a minute to find a perfect spot for holdout.

I've forgotten where I downloaded this, but absolutely not from an official source, so my review may be based on a broken version. Anyway, this L4D1 campaign performs okay in L4D2, but not enough. + Nice M3 layout for a holdout finale + Enjoyable playing experience + Good lighting + Acceptable map details -- Simple design of the previous two maps -- Incorrect skybox materials -- Some nav issues can be easily noticed Overall, it's average.

May Be the Best Orange Campaign
Wow, honestly its design is much better than many other campaigns, and the pace is even one of the smoothest. Compared with other orange campaigns, this campaign is also featured, as you can see a number of non-dev content. Several issues can be noticed while playing, but that doesn't really matter.
Underrated
Quite great as an one-map-long campaign, both the design and details are beyond expectaction, but there're also many points needed to be improved. Considering the author seemed to no longer spend time on mapping, I don't see any point in listing them. Anyway, just try this, it's not really that hard - I finished this on Expert Realism with improved bots, within an hour with 3 restarts. Beware of the alarm event, however.
Edited: August 2024
So-so
From today's perspective, I have to say this campaign is overall mediocre, especially in details. The acceptable design, however, made me want to give this more than 6.5/10. (Not meaning that I like the design.)
Edited: August 2024
Nice
Solid enough as for a three-map-long campaign, but sadly the design is still not top-notch - several interesting ideas are shown, but they're not powerful enough to keep the design level very far away from "basic/classical". Areas layout is the largely homogeneous part of the previous two maps, while the third map is conservatively (seriously even more than Valve campaigns) made for a normal holdout finale, and the pace can also be more smooth. The optimization's also in need of improvement btw.

Review
Very great campaign with advanced design as well as impressive details. When judging this as a co-op campaign, its gameplay is actually basic, but considering the author said this was designed for versus, well, we can just ignore that flaw.
Okay
This campaign shows an incorrect impression of China - the author thought China is still the same as dozens of years ago, but I believe that he means no harm. So let's review the campaign itself rapidly now. The details are the best in the China contest, but is a little pale in comparision today. The design is okay though it's simple, but still much weaker than Fall in Death, another campaign by the author. The balance, especially in the finale, is also controversial. There're few issues and enjoyable ideas, anyway.
Edited: June 2024
Review
Almost the one with the best details among all classic high-quality campaigns, but also the one with most flaws/glitches/issues, covering models, nav, and more aspects. Honestly, I can't think of a considerable amount of words to describe this campaign, so I'd like to simply say some crap about the design and end this awful reivew. It's not Valve style - that's an abvious fact - but it's novel and has the ability to bring a good experience. Hoooowever, the balance is questionable, partly due to map layout itself. Yeah, even though this campaign not hard on most modes.
Edited: June 2024
Great Work
Nice remake of several OOT scenes, kept fun and relaxing from start to finish. Although the details are not as good as Death Mountain, I'd say that the puzzles are more interesting and enjoyable. Some aspects do have room for improvement, for example, more work should be put into the nav mesh - bots sometimes have trouble climbing up or down ladders, and may even die from falling.
Absolutely Disappointing
I like HL2 supply crates, but... Let's get this straight, players can drive an airboat in HL2, but you refused to recreate it in L4D2. As a result, the wates which players could pass through quickly in the original game, now require survivors to cross them slowly on foot, and even turtles swim faster than them. That makes this campaign pretty long and boring. Other aspects are also rough - incorrect skybox materials, jesus spots... Wow.
Edited: August 2024
Beyond Expectation
If you ever played Dead Series, I gotta say this is as amazing as that campaign. Both lighting and details are great enough to be impressive. The design is not Valve style, but it learned a lot of positive designing methods from Valve's level design. Although the optimization is unfriendly, it's quite worth playing at least once! Btw better not try to complete the finale with dumb bots.

Pros: - Crazy designing ideas like breaking a wall with music - M2 and M3 both have nice lighting, although its not the best among all the L4D1 campaigns I've played - Clear instructions ensure you seldom feel confused about what to do - Sufficient supplies and explorable areas - Most maps have fulfilling gaming experiences and level design with quality - Good nav mesh makes it difficult to find a single jesus spot Cons: - Rough details, even when considering it's probably original made for L4D1 - Most "custom" sounds are stolen from movies and some other L4D addon campaigns - Terrible campaign poster, outro image and map thumbnails - Horrible optimization in some areas, especially in the surface part of M1 - Several troll elements, especially on M4 (btw that map is the worst designed in this campaign) - Some issues still exist, for example, you can still notice missing textures on M1 Conclusion: Could have been a quite nice campaign, but its flaws is non-ignorable. It would be great if someone remakes this as an actual L4D2 campaign.

I'm not dumb enough to hate non-linear level design, but this campaign is so open that it always took me some time to find the correct path, which is not very fun. Other aspects seem to be OK, at least in the oldest days, but they still feel kind of rough in some ways. BotNAV issues, shortcuts, jesus spots also exist, and can be found without deep searching. Btw the author forgot to use the soundscripts he created.

Great lighting, can-be-improved details, below average design, several issues. Gosh, I've had enough of these L4D1 campaigns. Not recommended.
Ugh...
Whoa, whoa, whoa, most of the time survivors are really just walking in simple and unchanging woods. Horde events are randomly added, so be ready to see the "Here they come..." sign when you're doing nothing but walking. Nav is also horrible, as CI can spawn anywhere you can think of - they can even spawn right behind you when a Tank's chasing you. The design? OK, it does is nonlinear, but if the layout of the maps is extremely simple, that makes no sense then. All the maps are boring to play. What's more, in the finale, I easily found a jesus spot when I was just jumping here and there. How disappointing...

In fact, I was (physically) having a slight headache when writing this review, so sorry for my confusing language logic. I have to say that your level design style is completely different from Valve's. This campaign seems to put weight on simple puzzles and restoring real life places, instead of traditional linear design. But sadly, I'm actually a fan of classic stuff, so this campaign doesn't fit my taste. However, even if I don't consider this point, it's always been hard for a campaign which stores real life places to get a Valve-like fun map design. Aaaaaanyway, I'd consider the maps to be dull sometimes. Nonetheless, there's no doubt that the creative ideas, like drinks which can increase your HP, is cool. The scenery is also great - they can really help me imagine what the real city looks like without actual pictures. In short, it is not for everyone, but it includes something fresh and worth a try.

Last Call From the Best Era
Another campaign I forgot to review. This is one of the most gorgeous campaigns in the old days. It provides players with amazing featured visuals and unique design, along with the most impressive voice acting in a L4D2 campaign. Among all the campaigns I've ever played, it's also one of the few campaigns that really present actually decent fictional stories. Although this campaign is based on Dawn of the Dead, the creation team succeeded in making an acceptable adaptation. However, it's clearly that someone dislikes something in this campaign, from Hank (in the role of CJ) to the level design. Hatred for Hank is understandable as not everyone can accept the annoying humor, some folks even began to hate all custom stuff in this campaign because of the existence of Hank. I believe holybased123 is one of them - he already hated the voice actor when he posted a review for Dead Before Dawn (Extended), but he gave that version more stars, even though the Extended version has more flaws and, in fact, includes 4 maps from this (DC) version. Additionally, I said the design is unique - it does is. This campaign is different from many other custom campaigns. Except for the 1st and 5th map, the story develops mainly as events (maybe it's more suitable to call them "missions" in this campaign) happen, which means that the key gameplay is NOT run and gun, and as game progresses, this fact becomes increasingly clear. Since my mindset doesn't like long and boring game experience caused by long time's running and shooting without thinking and living (though I know RTSL isn't for L4D, but hey - it can perfrom in another way, with necessary changes), which's common in many "T1" campaigns (such as Dark Wood, Buried Deep and Chernobyl), I'm glad to accept this campaign's design style. Many players stand on the opposite side of me, some of them can also admire the unique design, but for sure, the other of them just put their backs on doing that. Even if you accept all the previous 4 maps, the 5th map may disappoint you with a simple dash finale. Come on, we need the fun scavenge finale from the cancelled mapping plans, I want to see Hank sacrifises himself for the survivors to escape, so that players won't judge him as just a stupid security guard! Nonetheless, you can still enjoy the finale if you want. Anyway, in a word, this is the kind of the campaigns that you either enjoy it or not. Don't mind what I said, I was just posting crap.

Well, It's Great!
Surprisingly its quality is much better than I expected. The design is quite great, in my mind it's actually better than at least 85% of the campaigns on this website (though it's kinda linear), as its style is very similar to Valve campaings - it has nice pace as well as particularly balanced diffculty. The lighting is also one of the best, although compared to other great campaigns, the actual details may be kind of disappointing, but that doesn't matter. Anyway I do dislike something this campaign offers, for example, the balance of map 4 - it's such a weird thing that I can't find ammo before the panic event. Other than that, this campaign is quite great. And don't pay attention to Left4Def. The botnav worked well for me. I smoothly completed this on Expert Realism and found no notable issues.

Nice
Unique and fun campaign with cool custom content. But yeah, the bots act poorly, and the previous two maps are tooo short, although there're some areas available for exploring. Other than that, there's nothing serious. I'd like to try to complete the original game some day.
Edited: June 2024
It's OK
This version of Dead Before Dawn provides you with more events and higer difficulty. The layout of some areas is completely different from the DC version, giving me a fresh feeling. You can't say its design and detail level isn't stunning (unless you dislike unorthodox gameplay - that's the biggest feature of this version), although there're many nav issues and the search events are not all that fun. Bots get stuck and teleported very often, and it's easy to find a jesus spot in the finale. In a word, it's not as perfect as the DC version (in my mind), but it's quite worth a try, as long as you're not who hates the voice actor. Of course, the premise is that you can find somebody to play with - from my experience of playing this on Expert Realism, I have to say this version is particularly brutal for bots. You may not even be able to complete the fourth map if you are the only human player..

Yeah, yeah, the details are much better than Vienna Calling 1, and there're also many more unique ideas, but I can't really enjoy this... I only liked the design of the second and third maps, while the other maps didn't interest me at all. The overall experience is pretty dull. Nav issues are everywhere as well. But I have to say, even though it's this terrible in my opinion, it's still better than many other campaigns...

Needs to Be Fixed
There're many more nav issues than I thought... Playing this on Expert Realism with improved bots wasn't such a good idea. However, the design is nice, although the finale seemeds a bit lazy, and it's clearly not Valve style (so it's bland sometimes and can't be very fun for me). The details are nice enough considering this was originally made for L4D1, but it still disappointed me as I though most classic L4D1 campaigns would have been well improved before being ported by the original authors themselves. This is clearly an exception :(

Basic campaign with a few issues. The design can't interest me, but it's not below average and is acceptable. The visual details are so-so and kinda rough overall, mainly because they look monotonous and samey, and there're few objects in each room/area. However, this campaign has no fatal problems, and its desert theme is still unique today. Not bad considering this is beta version, hope you can make it more detailed, interesting and less bugged in future updates :) Edit: This review may have been outdated. I'll check the latest version soon.

Honestly, it's less balanced and detailed than the new version. The design is also, of course, worse. I believe that someone just prefers old stuff or hates valve and always tries to find an excuse to post complaint.

The Real "DEAD END"
Another campaign I forgot to review. Sadly, its design level is lower compared with Downtown Dine, although its details are much cooler. It has lots of unique stuff, but that also makes the maps look a bit messy and sometimes rough (as the quality of some custom contents still needs to be improved). Still, you can enjoy this. P.S. One thing notable is that the ending is truly hopeless - the survivors literally hit a dead end.

Pretty but Dull
I would give this 3 or fewer stars if there're not such great details. The gameplay is disappointing and the design is boring - looking for something isn't always fun, especially when hordes spawn from time to time. The layout of the areas also can't insterest players. In short, this campaign basically share the same pros and cons with Chernobyl: Chapter One, but that campaign is better in some ways - at least I haven't found a way to skip the finale in that campaign. Yes, if you already lost interest before the finale and want to finish this campaign quickly, you can just try to jump through the barbed wire near the final door.

Warning: This is the most difficult and unbalanced one in the great Questionable Ethics series. It can be RATHER fun on ANY mode, as long as you can complete the challenges. Good luck.

You Can Skip This...
Another campaign I forgot to review. The details are okay, but the design is below the average. On the first map, the panic event doesn't work, and you just have to walk for a quite short time, through bland areas... The second map requires you to walk in a straight line to get some gas cans, then turn back, walk in a straight line again and fill a car with the cans... The stupid (not mean to be this rude) hordes and Tanks will help you. And that's all. What can I say...

Back to Allegheny Forest
So, I guess the author listened to someone's criticism (that guy only gave Lockdown DLC 3 stars) and decided to make most areas large, but, ugh, I actually think the sizes of some areas need to be smaller now... As a result, I'm upset to say that the design level is actually lower than before. The pace is still very fast, but in this campaign it remains to be more optimized and balanced, although it succeeded in making players pay less attention to the design (again), and the difficulty is actually lower than Lockdown DLC. Still, the details are amazing and impressive - the author always does well in making nice scenery. In my opnion, the experience of playing this is still like tasting fast food, even though it's delicious. Oh yeah, if you dunno wtf am I talking about, this campaign may be a bit unorthodox and even cheap in some ways, but it's rather worth a try.

The Title Said It All
Another campaign I forgot to review. Yeah, you can see the ideas from the previous two Questionable Ethics compaigns in this campaign, and I'm sure it's not the funnest and most prettiest one in the QE series, but that's just a small complaint for a campaign in such a great series. Donwload and enjoy!

It seemed that the level design of GoldenEye 007 wasn't quite suitable for L4D2, but the author used cool visual details and fast but nice pace to attract my attention. I would be glad to play this more than ten times.

One of the Funnest
Another campaign I forgot to review. I have played it dozens of times, and have tried it on Expert Death's Door, Expert Realism, Expert Hard Eight... no matter what mode I play, I can find tons of fun in this map. What are you waiting for? Just download it!

Much Better Than I Expected
It has enjoyable details and design, also includes unique and fun events. Although it is also clear that this needs more work (there're nav issues, missing textures, etc.), I strongly believe that this is underrated.

"Flower Vase"
The scenery is great, but it's design... Well, each map is very, very short, and the pace is also quite strange. In addition, there're some nav issues, and survivors can't spawn properly in the fourth map if they died in the previous map. The helicopter in the finale is also, I don't know why, invisible... Play it for beautiful sights, or not.

Old Treasure
Who can believe that this campaign was first released in 2009? Today, it's still much better than some other campaigns. Quite featured and worth admiring, although the areas are kind of "tiny" (common in old campaigns), which lowered the design level. Someone blocked me to stop me from writing reviews for some campaigns that wasn't made by him XDDDD But luckily the real authors of some campaigns are here on GameMaps (L4DMaps).

It's much funner and more enjoyable compared with some so-called "perfect campaigns". But it you're the kind of the player who puts details in the first place for no reason, well, while the details of this campaign are nice enough, but you'd better go to play those "perfect campaigns". Yeah, I mentioned some players on purpose.

Rough but Classic
There're still some nav issues... anyway they're hard to find and are actually good for players. How nice this campaign is for you depends on how experienced you are. There're plenty of CI, and SI is also a big matter when you play modes like Hard Eight. I think killing the infected is actually the source of the fun in this campaign, although there're some other advantages - unique theme, creative ideas, several jokes, etc. The design and the details? Forget about them. Just enjoy the cruel pleasure.

It Can Be Improved
Pros: - Fun - Pretty lighting - Few issues - Unique comic effects and some other interesting stuff (although you may not notice them) - Balanced Cons: - The maps are too small to be a real great campaign - Samey in some ways - Cheap finale. The area is too open, and I easily found a jesus spot - The details of some areas is not quite nice Conclusion: Worth a try.

Facts Have Proven That the Newer, the Better
I have to reiterate that I'm not who always prefers old stuff, and I played v5 first, and then v3. So... Yeah, it's not as good as v3, and for sure it's far fromthe level of v5. Compared to v3, it's even more undetailed and bland. I'm glad that your mapping skills became better and better as time went by.

Let's Play Questionable Ethics Instead
Not mean to be toxic, but it's... rough (in details), merciless (in difficulty) and bugged (in nav). Never thought that I would spend 4 hours completing this on Expert Realism. However, if you can find enough teammates with you, this actually can be said to be fun.

Pretty mediocre. I can't believe that this kind of poor design is from an unfinished official campaign. The previous 2 maps are about troll and confusing stuff, while the finale is boring and repetitive. People always have a strange filter for old things, and resist any criticism like crazy.

Another Campaign I Forgot to Review
Although it's rough in details, it's unique in design. A nice fact is that the more times you play this campaign, the easier it'll be for you. However, it's always a bad idea to play with bots :P Btw, there're 3 Zoeys in this campaign?? One died in the prison (and you can only see her when using noclip), one is still alive in the prison, and the remaining one is the car driver in the finale. That's confusing...
Edited: June 2024
Great
Nice campaign with unique design and pretty details, but the cave part of the second map is a bit bland. I wish I could spend less time walking in the cave, although it's a quite creative idea to follow the fireflies. Other than that, this campaign is fun to play.
Edited: April 2024
Nice
The layout and the details are simple, but plays fun. Yeah, you need to take care in the finale if you play on Single Mode, as there're 10 colas waiting for you to collect. Don't worry, it's surely possible to complete it on Singleplayer Expert Realism (and it's not quite difficult), but you'd better install Left 4 Bots. That's all, I guess.

I Believe That This Is Just a Mapping Try
Finished in about 10 minutes on Expert Realism... Quite short, easy and disappointing, although the details are nice considering it's your first campaign. Not recommended as the design level is horrible.
Edited: August 2024
Nice
It has many areas for exploring as well as many creative and fun ideas, and the details are nice. However, there're many issues. Most of the issues are about nav mesh, while one is about the glow of the cola - it doesn't exist, so I'm unable to find the fourth cola even if I explored the whole map 3 times :/
Edited: April 2024
Creative
Nice rat campaign with many unique ideas, although walking across large areas may be not fun sometimes.

Review
Not bad, tends to be open and has some unique ideas. The details are rich and the visuals are rich, but some areas are too similar. Also not that challenging (I think I have the right to say that as I finished this on Expert Realism), and if you're careful enough, you can find a jesus spot in the finale.
Edited: August 2024
Well Made
Well balanced. Although it doesn't has an impressive color theme, it made me think it could be another The Passing. However, the gameplay is a bit bland, and for that I played this on Expert Realism, I have to say that there's too little ammo in the finale.
Edited: August 2024
Mediocre
To be honest, it's quite disappointing. The author tried to make this not so ordinary, but as for me, he failed. Overall it and has uninteresting design, due to too open, repetitive and unpolished areas, and it's also not well-detailed. I kept hoping to see something real exciting when I played this, as this campaign has 1.7M views on this site, but my hope were completely dushed when I easily found a jesus spot in the finale. How awful...
Edited: June 2024
OK...
Very short, only needs you to walk through a whole train. That's a creative idea... But that's all. Quite boring.
Edited: April 2024
Bugged
The design is worth admiring, although it's obviously inspired by official L4D1 campaigns, but it doesn't play bad. Details are not good, but I guess they're OK as for a L4D1 campaign. But yeah... this is bugged and needs to be polished. The main issues are that I can see CI spawn in my field of view and there's too few invisible walls.

Deadly Ideas
Another campaign I forgot to review. There're many random paths and events in this campaign, which greatly improved the gameplay, but might also make the experience depressing sometimes. The details are enjoyable, but the design isn't. Most of the time you're just walking in wide and open areas, with some rolling terrain and sporadic buildings. Yeah that's not very fun. What a pity, because it's clear that it could have been a real great campaign.

Not a great campaign for me. The details are not quite enjoyable from start to finish, though the lighting is okay. About the design, I agree with holybased123 - the design of the first 3 maps is pretty mediocre, while the last 3 maps are above average. Overall, the maps are of varying quality, making this campaign not very attracting, at least for someone.

Another campaign I forgot to review. It's one of the best campaigns that recreate real life places. The atmosphere is great and makes players feel like they're in a real apocalypse. It definitely has a chance to become one of the top 5 addon campaigns.

Overall it's a great campaign with high quality. The details are nice and the overall layout idea is creative. But many areas are too open, and the details and design of different parts of each map gives me a samey feeling. What's more, the second map is not well made. Other than that, there're not many shortcomings.

Obviously carefully made. Both details and design are pleasing, but holdout events aren't set well, the walkable parts of most areas tend to be narrow, although many campaigns have such problems.

Btw, expert is actually possible, and once I even completed the second map on Hard Eight Expert, mainly because I know many tricks.

Troll but Fun
Warning: as you can guess, this is a troll campaigns. This campaign perfectly describes that fun is the core of an addon map. The gameplay is fairly unique and unorthodox, and the author truly made it interesting. There're many tricks, the more times you play this campaign, the more tricks you find. Even though this is a troll campaign after all, I find it funner and funner as time goes by.

Real Relaxing
Another campaign that recreates real life places, but much more enjoyable than some other campaigns. I've also played this many times. Everyone can see that the author put much effort into this, and he made the difficulty very low in order to make sure all players can enjoy the scenery. But at the same time, the low difficulty can also be a shortcoming, as it makes the experience kind of boring sometimes, although that doesn't matter anyway. Fun is more important than details, design or anything else, even though issues can break it. Waiiiiiit, I don't mean this campaign have many issues!

Another campaign I forgot to review. Great campaign overall. The details are nice, however, they can be better in fact, and I believe that some brighter and warmer color corrections can greatly improve the look of the sights. It's a nice fast-paced campaign with surprising details, although the design is... unique, I guess. But hey, this is not a campaign that only has narrow areas, so I'm not gonna put unpleasant criticism here. In my opnion, the fast pace actually makes players pay less attention in the design and lets (some of) them feel like they're tasting fast food, you know what I mean. I'm not gonna like this as I prefer Valve-like designs, but this is actually very worth a try.

Quite solid, although the pace doesn't exist and it's a bit easy. No
The details and atmosphere can give you a unique feeling, but that can't save this campaign. Bugs come the first. No one can sacrifice like Gandolf in the first map, players have to cheat or use an idle trick. Terrifying elements come the second. Falling rocks when climbing the Mount Doom and continuously spawned charger at the Cracks of Doom are best examples. Horrible balance comes the last. You have to kill tons of Tanks in the final map, and completing the map takes one century. The three shortcomings ruined this campaign. I suggest you play this on a modded server for best experience.

I remember this was one of the first addon campaigns I played. Maybe I tried this just after Left 4 Mario, so I was surprised at the details and length. Looking at this from today's perspective, although the design can be said to be nice, it actually feels hollow, both in scenery and gameplay. Maybe that's mainly because of the original author's mediocre ability in areas creating. Still a good campaign overall, considering it was originally made for L4D1. No Politics
Map quality score: 8.1/10. The author showed his nice mapping ability. + Politics = no score Like all other campaigns made for the China contest, this campaign didn't show anything real or objective. But in addition, it was also filled with prejudice and slander against China, which made the matter a hundred times more serious. The details aren't quite pleasing, the pace of the first and fifth map is weird, and the bot nav is broken sometimes. Other than that, it's a great campaign. To be honest, it plays much funner than some other campaigns.

Nice
The author showed lots of unique ideas, but he forgot to make this campaign REAL fun. Yeah, nothing's disappointing except the design - it can vquite boring to just walk for long periods of time.

Review
I guess pretty doesn't mean "fun" most of the time. Pleasing but repetitive in visual, a little above average in design, disappointing in difficulty. Maybe it need some areas that are not very narrow. Lazy finale btw. Another overrated old campaign in my mind.

Epic
This review is based on version 1.05. Get it from ModDB or Steam Workshop Finished in 1 hour 15 minutes, restarted 3 times, on Singleplayer Expert Realism, with an old version of Left 4 Bots 2 enabled. It has the most incredible details I've ever seen in L4D2, but the gameplay, well, is not that great. If you know the right path well, then the only thing you need to worry about is the CI. The number of them are horrible! Tanks are also common, but not that depressing, because the map design makes it not very difficult to fight with them. Talking about the design, well... I have to say the only fun is to kill zombies. Maybe the author just wants you to enjoy the sights. Overall it's an epic campaign, but the author left too many issues unsolved... Tanks can get stuck somewhere on the fourth map, CI would spawn in places you've already explored, and you can easily receive a "no free edicts" error when the game is changing level to the fourth map... Due to these issues, it's not a perfect campaign in my mind. Sorry, but just 9/10.

Finished on Expert within an hour. Basically you can think of it as an extended version of White Forest, with a different atmosphere and some changes worth noting. Most changes just increase your play time or reduce your fps, which isn't worth talking about, but the changes to the second map reduce the difficulty greatly... That's not good. Overall, the changes to the previous four maps can't bring you much more fun, but they're acceptable. Then let's talk about the two new maps. To be honest, I don't like them. The fifth map is way too short and easy, and the event is just boring because there're only 5 gas to collect and the hordes are completely not a problem. The sixth map is quite large, and it requires you to run around, touch this, touch that, kick tanks' asses, run back and press a lot of buttons. Yeah, that's not fun for me, because I never liked to run through very large areas or to do repetitive tasks in L4D2. What's more, the fps was only about 30~40 for me, which makes the experience even more unpleasant. I give it 4 stars, for it is a HL2 campaign and nothing more. And there's another problem: the author of White Forest is Missed, not mixmedia, I think.

Nice
Fun campaign, especially when playing on Expert, although it doesn't have many shining points. + Creative ideas, such as unlockable doors (kinda meaningless though) ~ Basic design ~ OK details -- Bot nav issues I'm gonna try Beldurra 2 next, and I hope it will bring me more joy.

Not Bad
This is a relaxing campaign with some unique ideas. The design is just so-so, but other stuff like environmental sounds and simple but nice scenery caught my heart. Oh, yeah, issues are easy to find, especially in the finale.

Not bad campaign, with nice design and balance, which makes it suitable for Versus. However, most walkable parts of the areas are kind of narrow, and the design of the finale is lazy. Totally basic.

Is Orange Theme an Excuse for Poor Quality?
I've played two great orange-themed campaigns (The Orange and Oranssi Paska) that are many times better than this, so, sorry, but I can't accept this. Extremly lazy design, unbelievably large and repetitive areas, unpleasant details (compared with other orange campaigns, of course)... Just avoid this.

It has great potential. The design is pretty unique and nice, but some areas are way too empty, open and undetailed. The finale is also confusing - I spent over 10 minutes looking for the switch.

Great
OK, I played this campaign again and found my original review incorrect. This detailed campaign does have shortcomings in gameplay, but its design is far from average.

Classic
A great campaign from the old times. The author has few unique ideas on map designing, as a result the final result isn't very perfect for me, because there're nothing really impressive, attracting or unique, and some areas are meaninglessly empty (that makes this campaign much easier than I expected), the medium-average details also make them look even worse. So, don't expect an epic experience like that you can get from campaigns like Suicide Blitz 2. Other than that there's not many issues. Everyone can feel that the author put much effort into this campaign.

Actually the design is a little poor, but who would care about the design instead of the scenery while playing this campaign? Highly recommended for Minecraft fans, although the crashing issue on the fourth map is really annoying. Edit: I simply suppressed some textures (with actually no quaility loss, heh) and the file reduced over 500mb, man wtf

A great city-themed campaign, with some open areas for exploring. The design is quite decent, but the details are kind of rough, and some issues actually exist. Also, sometimes it does make players confused (about where to go).
Edited: April 2024
Good But Unfinished
Okay, okay, I'd be honest now. It actually feels like... something unfinished. That's an 100% objective opinion that was even recongnized by the author, but there're won't be updates any more. We've got bland atmosphere, obvious nav issues, unbalanced difficulty, etc. Nevertheless, its map layout is still worth appreciating. I mean, if you ignore the extremly terrifying instructions, it's still top-tier.

Yeah, someone wanted to make a campaign that provides players with a ride, and he succeeded. Completely not worth trying if you dislike rides.

Pretty ncie campaign, although I haven't watched any Indiana Jones movies. However, it's way too short and easy, even on Expert Realism. Maybe it's for the fans or those who want to see rides in L4D2.

The details are fairly pleansant, but the design isn't. Most areas are too open and monotonous (not visually, of course), which won't bring you fun if dealing with the infected isn't a problem for you. Yeah, I mean this campaign is way too easy and bland. The events are really... well I'm running out of words. Anyway, all the events are alarm events that require you to rush for some time, and some of them are even skippable (for what??). The length of each map is also a little short. I prefer longer campaigns. In a word, it's just that kind of walking simulator, just admire the scenery. By the way, it seems that the campaign isn't very rigorous.

Pros: - Each map has its own theme - Nice details - Few issues - Okay optimization Cons: - Too many empty or repetitive areas - Way too easy to find shortcuts - Quite easy finale compared with many other campaigns - Few melee weapons (why?) Conclusion: A classic old campaign, but its difficulty is much lower than other great campaigns.

Nice
Decent campaign overall. However: - The details are a bit too rough. That actually doesn't matter, but why is the optimization so unpleasant at the same time? - It's a bit bland when there's no event - Dunno why bots stopped following me after walking for a while on the fourth map Other than that, this is a good choice for those who like long campaigns.

Mediocre
A standard fast-paced L4D1 style campaign with low difficulty and lots of issues. It does have something unique, but performs poorly. Everything is so-so, even a little disappointing. Not recommended.
Edited: April 2024
So-so
I don't like these fast-paced L4D1 style campaigns. The details aren't pleasant enough for me. The design is unique and okay, but the finale is way too easy, and if everyone dies on the final map, survivors will spawn in a dark area and be unable to get out. The final map also has even worse details compared with the previous two maps.
Edited: April 2024
Confusing
- The maps (except the second map, maybe) are so large and open that you can easily lose the way - The details are also impressive, although I don't like the color - The author didn't go to great lengths to prevent you from finding shortcuts - The pace is weird sometimes Recommended for those who prefer unorthodox gameplay.

Perfect
It's still one of the best training maps for L4D2. I guess I have to play L4D2 a few thousand more hours before I can complete all the courses in it.
Nice
I have to say the maps are well designed. However, some areas are too open and looked monotonous, and the detials isn't very satisfying. Although you can see assets from different games, they are not used very well, especially the assets from INFRA (I even thought an area in the fourth map is dircetly cut from INFRA). Issues are easy to find, like missing textures on the first map. Other than that, it's a nice campaign to play. I wonder why the author disabled reviews and took Pesaro 3 down from the workshop...
Edited: April 2024
Solid Short Campaign
Finished in 16 minutes in Single Player mode on Expert. Although it's not quite pleasant in some ascepts, it's decent overall and there're not too much to complain. However, I think it's better to let Tanks spawn in the finale.

Don't Try to Port CS Maps This Way
The campaign has three edited CS maps that are full of bugs, and that's all. Each map is as short as you think, which makes them boring to play. Why not just turn them into survival maps?

I Want Real Puzzles, Not Mazes
This campaign made me think it's full of Portal-like puzzles, but I found out that was a stupid thought after I played it. There's no interesting puzzle, just repetitive mazes. In each room, you need to explore a maze, find an object, put it on a red buttom and do what the campaign asks you to do, then congratulations! The door is open and you can leave the room. Yeah, the layout of the three maps is extremely similar, and all of them are not really fun to play. The finale is lazy as well - the author didn't even create a actual new area for it! Not recommended.

An Okay Campaign
Pros: - Nice design - Okay length Cons: - So-so details in some areas - Weird pace of the first map - Nav issues Conclusion: Not so mediocre, but also not decent. Not recommended. Edit: Looks like someone had problem with one of my trash reviews! This was indeed one of the worst texts I've ever written, however, I do remember the campaign itself wasn't relatively decent among the 300+ campaigns I'd played (as a badly picky player). "Not recommended" surely ought to be removed though, for objective concerns. Also, if you see my reviews elsewhere, better ignore them. They read way embarrassing.

Playable
Just tried this old campaign. Hmm, I think it's just so-so. Pros: - Not too short - Almost no nav issue - So-so design - Nice lighting Cons: - Confusing design in some areas - Too many empty areas - Poor details - Mediocre optimization - Too easy Conclusion: Not very worth playing, cuz there're many better campaigns on this website. If you want to try this anyway, I recommend playing on Expert Realism or Expert Hard Eight.

Not So Perfect, but OK
This is a campaign with amazing details. You can truly explore the areas, think about the things and infer a story, which can make you excitied. But don't forget that L4D2 is a fps game. I have to say, the design isn't so pleasant, because there're too many large areas for you to wak through in a straight line, and if you just want to run and shoot, then you may feel bland sometimes (if you don't choose play hard modes like Hard Eight and Realism).Overall, it may not be fun enough, but it must be a nice campaign to try.

It's Getting Better
This campaign has fewer issues now, but that doesn't mean there aren't serious issues anymore, although you may not find them if you don't want check every place you can reach. Your Best Campaign
Respect. Awesoem details, few issues, decent design, pleasant optimization... These are all a great campaign needs, and your last campaign has all of them. The only problem is that it may be bland sometimes, especially the finale. The poor layout of the final map can make you feel boring (and it's even annoying if you can't find the proper way to deal with the Tanks).

Amazing
Much better than I expected. One of the best campaigns that mainly use L4D1 assets, with great design, and optimization... It's a little hard for me and 3 dumb bos to deal with the tanks in the finale (on Expert), but luckily the boxes you added to the map helped me in a strange way, lol. I do dislike the weird pace of the first map and the same situation as your sixth screenshot shows, and this campaign has the same shortcomings as most L4D1 campaigns. Highly recommended for those who like L4D1 style campaigns and don't really care about custom assets.
Edited: April 2024
Nice
Medium-average campaign with horror atmosphere (even though it's not scary at all XD). The design is a bit lazy - the second and third maps have extremly similar layout. Also, you can get lost easily on the second map because... Gosh, who can see the "ladder" in such a dark area? Other than that, this campaign is okay.
Edited: June 2024
Yeah, It's Better Than the Original One
It's not a completely new campaign, but of course it has something new and nice. The map design and details are better than the original one, but the amount of issues aren't less. Not really a quite nice campaign, but very worth playing if you've played the original one or other SpeedBoost campaigns (except Whispers of Winter).
Edited: June 2024
Impressive, but There're Too Many Issues...
Map design is really nice, even though sometimes you may lose yor way. You may find hordes and tanks brutal, but that makes the game experience fun instead of depressing. Details are okay, but I don't understand why the file is so large... I actually don't like the custom weapon models and textures, so I deleted them myself, and the file reduced by about 200 mb... I don't really want to walk about the actual issues, because, gosh, there're too many... You can't avoid them by just disabling other mods, that's the most annoying thing. But yeah, this campaign is still recommended if you want to try something new.

It's OK
It's a relaxing campaign with two endings, but the design and details aren't quite pleasant, as the final campaign of the SpeedBoost series. The random tanks are still annoying, of course. So I still don't understand what's the connection between these chapters in the SpeedBoost series...
Edited: April 2024
Pleasant
Quite nice map design and details with few issues. The difficulty isn't high overall, but random tanks in the first two maps would be hard to deal with. The only serious issue is that sometimes the finale can't start properly. In a word, it's a great campaign for relaxing.
Edited: April 2024
Ugh...
The first map is really incredible, it must be the best map in the first 4 chapters... But the second map is much worse. It has terrible optimization and quite low difficulty, and for sure it can take you a long time to find the helicopter. If you aren't going to try the whole SpeedBoost series, it's not such a nice idea to play this campaign.
Edited: April 2024
OK, I Think Frozen: Chapter 2 Is Better...
Sadly I have to say this campaign is much more mediocre and confusing than the previous one... Maybe it's mainly because this one doen't have a special theme. So we got disappointing map design and details again, the author also gave us annoying issues as extra gifts. What's worse, there's troll stuff into this campaign. Fake saferoom with a tank? Hell no. Not recommended overall.
Edited: June 2024
Not Bad Campaign
Much better than Beginning Hours: Chapter 1. Map design isn't too mediocre overall, though the finale is still confusing and disappointing. It's a nice choice if you like winter-themed campaigns.
Edited: June 2024
Nothing Impressive
This campaign is mediocre in almost all ways... The length is surprisingly short (it took me 15 minutes to complete all 3 maps), both the map details and design are also disappointing. Issues are easy to find as well. The first map is a little confusing because nothing tells you that you'll have to wait for a helicopter (and the helicopter didn't apper at all on the second map, hmm). The second map made my think of the third map of Pit Stop because they have a very similar layout, dunno if the layout is a public asset or something. The third map is just a cheap version of the final map of Blood Harvest. I can't say this campaign has anything impressive, so I don't recommend you to play it. That's all.
Edited: June 2024

Higher difficulty and extra areas make the campaign even more fun. For sure, this alternative version has more issues compared with the original version (and most of them can help you complete the campaign more easily). Nice work anyway.

It's... OK
I have to complain about the following points: -The first two maps (The Roads) are bland at most time -The nav mesh is kind of horrible... The infected get stuck frequently, and I can easily find places that CI can't reach -Intros didn't always work for me when I start a map for the first time. Only the intros of map 1 and 6 worked properly all the time. I wonder if I have to disable other custom campaigns. -It took me a long time to find the only ammo pile in the finale. Other than that, it's a nice map to play. Both map design and details are OK for me.

Great
Hidden treasure for me. The 5 maps are designed really well, while there're some nav issues. (Don't be so worried about that because I don't mean bots can get stuck or something else) If you can accept unfeatured campaigns, try it.

Excellent!
Okay design with cool ideas... That's right! But there're actually more issues than I thought. It's clearly that it needs more love, but it's impossible for a campaign that released 13 years ago to get updates from the author. (So I think it's meaningless to point the issues out) The only thing I really have to complain about is the finale... There're 4 tanks in total, and you also have to deal with the hordes while fighting against tanks... What a shame.
Edited: April 2024
Uhh...
I don't know what did Huck do, but this campaign is clearly kinda broken. On Map 2 and 3, hordes are never going to stop... The optimization is also disappointing. Let's have a look at the map design. Well, it's really not that bad, the only problem is that the maps are a bit short, especially Map 1. I don't really want to think about the map detail. You just have to know that there's nothing attracting... Also, upset to see that the rescue boat didn't move at all in the outro.

Hmm, it's a good choice if you are interested in playing maps on Hard Eight. You can see water everywhere, and all 5 maps are huge as well, which make this campaign challenging on Hard Eight :P Yeah, honestly it's kind of bland because there're not too many events. What's more, there're ping issues on Map 2 and Map 3. Though I was the lobby leader and chosed "Local Server", the ping was about 95ms on these two maps.

One of the Best Troll Campaigns Ever Made
It's quite difficult for those who play this campaign for the very first time, but the difficulty actually depends on who many tricks do you know. If you can use the tricks really well, then you can even complete this campaign on Expert Realism or Expert Hard Eight, and that's why I love this campaign. Highly recommended for its creative ideas and incredible cutscenes. Yeah, if you're who can't even complete an official campaign on Advanced, just avoid this, or you may fall mad.

A short but okay campain, the only problem is that the optimization is kind of terrible (considering it's restoring a map from another game). Also, if you're not a fan of RTCW, there's not much point in playing this. That's all I can say, because I don't even know what RTCW is.

Pros: - Awesome design - Satisfying detail - Cutscenes! - The idea of neurotoxin is quite creative Cons: - Bots can get killed by the neurotoxin easily in the finale - An nav issue on map 2 made bots stop following me. Luckily I have Left 4 Bots installed. - Floating medkits on map 2 (check the screenshot) - CI incapacitated me during the cutscenes in the finale (all bots had been dead, so the game restarted)

Unfinished?
After reading the description, I think it's an unfinished campaign that is impossible to receive any update. Pros: - Clear tips till the ending - Well ported - Items are spawned randomly Cons: - Bots won't follow you after you get down to the basement, which will prevent you complete the map. Why the author refused to fix the issue? - Part of a wall got no texture. The texture of part of a pipe are mixed up. A bed glows in the dark, Some props can't be effected by map lighting (they look dark if you turned off your flashlight). - Lazy ending - No 3D skybox or something similar to help the map look better. You know, in an area, walls are broken and you can see the sky. - After the map ended, the game played credits instead of showing game states. - Completely no events - Too short - The ghost (I guess?) looked... funny. It hasn't got a suitable model XD

Very Mediocre Campaign
Pros: - A little more challenging campared to some campaigns - Not too boring - Unusual ending Cons: - (Kinda) Disappointing map details - Only a few props in an area (most time) - Terrible lighting and color correcting - Repetitive design - Two tanks spawn at the same time on map 4 - Nothing attracting - In saferooms, you won't see enough medkits or T2 weapons - The styles of different maps are mostly the same, you can only see drains or flat grounds Conclusion: Play it if you have no choice

Review
Pros: - Kinda long - I thought the author actually made efforts to make the maps - Custom traps Cons: - Disapponting map details - Horrible optimization - Boring design. I especially don't like the repeitive design of map 4. - The lighting is worse than many other campaigns. Also, the maps didn't get suitable color corrections. - There're some strange paintings in the maps... I don't like them because they slightly broke the atmosphere. - Well, most things are meaningless. Conclusion: Not worth playing.

Review
So I decided to change my opinion. Much efforts were put into this campaign, but the finale result didn't reach people's expectation. The visual details, along with the optimization, are pretty cheap. The design is also so-so. Not really recommended.

Review
What I dislike: empty areas, repetitive map design, terrible lighting, low-quaility textures, horrible optimization, the collision issue on map 1, the ERROR in the finale and nav issues.

Too Short
As the description said, this campaign is really short. I only used 18 minutes to complete it on Advanced. Totally a nice campaign, but not really attracting. I also dislike a few points. - At the beginning and end of the campaign, the details doesn't seem very good. - On map 3, I threw a gnome against the wall, and then... the gnome got stuck in the wall. I didn't know why, but I threw another gnome aginst wall. This time the gnome disappered. Of course I had to skip the puzzle I was working on. And that's all I can say.

Getting Lost Isn’t Fun
The details are nice, but all three maps were filled with meaninglessly huge and visually repetitive areas. I think most players aren't able to find the correct path quickly. At the same time, the map design is really lazy in some ways. There're completely NO exciting events, the only thing players can do is finding the right path to the saferoom. How can that be fun when the map detail isn't very satisfying? In the finale, it's too easy for survivors to defend themselves. Any place slightly higher than the ground can be a good place to camp. Also, even after the helicopter arrived, I got lost. Not a good custom campaign for me. Edit: "The original developer requested removal"... Gosh. Nobody really expected for this.

Nice map, but there're many issues
Only Up in L4D2 is really a good idea, but some issues can break your enjoyment. I put all the screenshots in one picture. Here're the issues I've found: -You can receive fall damage, unlike the video game Only Up. -Check the 1st screenshot. It's clearly that the skybox textures aren't suitable for this map. Also, the area of the water should be larger. We shouldn't be able to see the bottom texture of the skybox. -Check the 2nd screenshot. The gnome isn't put in the right way. (I used noclip to reach the ending area because I forgot to take a screenshot when I saw the issue for the first time) -Check the 3rd screenshot. The water reflection looks strange. -Check the 4th screenshot. You can walk through some objects. -Check the 5th screenshot. You have a strange view when walking in the water. -I thought I was teleport to a dark space before the game states appeard. -Please make a texture as the map thumbail. Do not use a non-existent material named "l4d2onlyup" for "Image". Also, you should add a download link in mission.txt. I don't talk about the map detail. I'm looking forward to seeing others point out the issues about it. (because my poor english makes me unable to describe part of the issues) Hope to see the issues solved. Also, the map is a bit too short.

Uninteresting
This campaign has completely no event before the ending, you know what that means. The map is very detailed, so it's unfriendly to my potato PC. The lowest fps I got is 16. Great detail doesn't mean no model issues. It seemed that the author have no idea how to connect the separate railings. The ending is broken in the latest version of the game, I guess. I was told to find 5 correct computers, but the rescue arrived before I finished the task. If the ending works as intended, I think I have to prepare for restarts because there were plenty of computers waiting for me to check. Another issue is about nav. I noticed that CI can't reach survivors standing on some short objects, that's unfunny. All in all, it's a cheap campaign, except the map detail.

Disposable
Play it for one time, feel amazed for its creativity, then delete it. Most areas are huge but empty, and have nothing fun for exploring. Walking through them for minutes are really boring. It takes a long time to beat the full campaign, even on a modded server with auto bhop enabled. The difficulty may be balanced for beginners, but if you've played the game for over 100hrs, you are certain to find it kind of easy. But the mentioned issues are understandable because, hey, it's a lego campaign! You can't expect it to be quite great.

Nice
Overall it's not too bad. I actually didn't feel upset or bored playing it (and that's why I gave it 4 stars). I used 1 hour and 55 minutes to beat it on advanced with 3 strangers. But, as other reviews have pointed out, this campaigns have a number of issues. - Little custom content and unpleasant detail, much worse than Cold Stream. (however it's still not terrible if u don't review it carfully) - Meaningless events and props. For example, the rowing event is, unbelievably, very short. It made me think about whether the author is deliberate to make this campaign disappointing. - Bugs are easy to find. For example, on Map 2, the tank after the alarm event may get stuck in... the ground? - The pace is awful. This campaign is tooooo fast-paced. I couldn't try to review it in real time. - Hordes, hordes, hordes, hordes, hordes, and, oh, tanks. I don't mean this campaign is hard, but you have to think of the fast pace. I only showed some issues, but I don't mean this campaign is bad. Actually, it's still better than many other custom campaigns. It's like fast food, delicious but not pretty.

Playable
Pros: - OK design. - Custom content. - Fun. - Bots work well. Cons: - WTF is the poster?? - A nav issue. The first tank on Map 3 suicided during my playing. - Bad fps for mediocre details on Map 1 - You can find some op places to camp in the finale. - Terrible color correction on Map 1. Wait, did it really use any color corrections? Conclusion: Just another playable campaign released many years ago. Download it if you have no other choices.

A Chanlleging Campaign With No Custom Content
This campaign was well designed. It's really chanlleging, I had a nice hour. But, why don't you set invisible walls in the right place? Some objects look very short, but you just can't jump over them. On Map 5, after entering the helicopter, don't move, because unlike other campaigns, there're NO invisible walls to protect you from falling off the helicopter. Also, the campaign has no intro, and the states don't work. However, overall, it's still worth playing, although it's kind of rough.

A Fun Campaign for Super Mario Fans
OMG, it's Super Mario! However, it's not suitable for bots. Also, it's too easy. It would be worth playing multiple time on expert, but not on lower difficulties. Map design is mediocre, 2D Mario levels don't seem suitable for making 3D maps. But it's still a quite classic and fun campaign. Yeah, it's kinda boring if you ain't a Super Mario fan. Actually this is the first addon campaign I've ever played. Yeah, Super Mario addons are just why I bought L4D2. But time flies, and now I no longer want to play Mario games as often as I used to in the past. Oh...

Playable
Map 1 is very dark, but there're no other problems. In addition, this is the most chanlleging one of all 3 maps. Map 2 is just easy and boring. Map 3 actually has a nav issue. I dunno why, but during my playing, the first Tank didn't appear. I just listened to the background music until it suddenly stopped. This is a campaign with mediocre design and detail, I don't think you should play this before playing other excellent campaigns.

This Would Be Fun on a Modded Server, but...
I played this campaign on advanced with bots, although I've only played L4D2 for 800hrs. It took me 2 hours and 8 minutes to complete it, and I restarted for 9 times. I just want to say one thing: ANY MELEE WEAPON CAN MAKE THIS SHI**Y CAMPAIGN EASIER Edit: It's been some time since I completed this campaign for the last time. Maybe I'll try it again and rewrite my review some day.

The original author is Chinese, so I think it's OK to type Chinese characters.

It Needs More Work
Pros: - You can pick up some props, though the system isn't as nice as that of some other campaigns. - Nice detail. - Kind of challenging, especially when you play solo mode. - The ammo system is "fun" :P Cons: - The states don't work, and there's no credits music. A SI incapacitate everybody after i saw the text "The survivors have escaped!". Wow, actually, the survivors have never escaped. - I played this campaign with bots. I dunno why, but the mod "Left 4 Bots" didn't work on this campaign for me at all. Bot nav is stupid. Bots won't pick up weapons as soon as they find them, and I didn't think they really picked up any ammo when I was playing this campaign. When I was trying to find the car key, for no reason, bots didn't catch up with me quickly. When I picked up the car key, well... Louis has been dead, and the other two bots still haven't caught up with me. - There's collision bug. (I mean, I can walk through some parts of the subway, though they should stop me. Ahhhh, f**k my poor English.) - The map thumbnail doesn't look good in game. Conclusion: If the issues can get solved, it's a great campaign.
